children, parents and in-laws) of our staff and retirees at a reduced cost
- 6 weeks of paid maternity leave to new moms and six weeks of adoption leave,
plus $8,300 in adoption assistance
- Tuition reimbursement,
- Health coverage for domestic partners
- Flextime and telecommuting options that make life even easier for employees
juggling work and family needs
According to the magazine, in surveying the companies that were considered
for this year's list, particular weight was given to questions in three areas:
flexible scheduling, the most critical benefit for working
mothers; child-care options, because without them parents can't
work; and time off for new parents, because it's critical for
mothers to bond with their newborns without suffering professionally. Freddie
Mac's programs and benefits in these areas landed us the coveted title of "top
company" for working mothers.
