Freddie Mac Named to Fortune 500

This month Freddie Mac was ranked No. 50 among the companies named to Fortune magazine's newest list of the U.S.'s 500 top public corporations. With $44 billion in revenues, the company ranked immediately ahead of CVS/Caremark and right behind Microsoft.

What makes this accomplishment particularly noteworthy is that it is the first time since 2002 that Freddie Mac has been listed – an achievement made possible by filing our 2006 financial results on a schedule similar to other public corporations.
