FREDDIE MAC PRICES NEW $4 BILLION 10-YEAR REFERENCE NOTESĀ® SECURITYMcLean, VA – Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) announced today that it priced its new 5.125% $4 billion 10-year USD Reference Notes® security due on October 18, 2016. The issue, CUSIP number 3137EAAJ8, was priced at 99.914 to yield 5.136%, or 38 basis points more than 10-year U.S. Treasury Notes. The issue will settle on October 13, 2006. The new 10-year Reference Notes security was offered via a syndicate of dealers headed by Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., Goldman Sachs Group and Lehman Brothers. An application was made to list the issue on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Including today's offering, Freddie Mac has issued $52 billion of Reference Notes securities during 2006 and has approximately $234 billion in Reference Notes and Reference Bonds® securities outstanding.
