Anthony A. Williams has been the Director of State and Local Practice at the law firm of Arent Fox LLP since May 2009. Prior to joining Arent Fox, he was the CEO of Primum Public Realty Trust since 2007. He served as the mayor of Washington, DC from 1999 to 2007 and as its chief financial officer from 1995 to 1998. He also served as vice chair of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and as president of the National League of Cities. He was the first chief financial officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Over the years, he also served as the deputy state comptroller of Connecticut, the executive director of the Community Development Agency in St. Louis, and the assistant director of the Boston Redevelopment Authority. He currently is a director of Meruelo Maddux Properties, Inc.
