Corporate Giving

Since 2003, thousands of Freddie Mac volunteers have worked to build homes in this Northeast Washington neighborhood.

Freddie Mac's Corporate Giving program complements Freddie Mac's mission to support the housing market. The contributions we make to nonprofit organizations help families find affordable homes and stay in their homes, and strengthen communities.

Our investments in organizations like D.C. Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together help build new homes and better lives for children and their families. We partner with organizations like the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments to prevent foreclosures and improve the quality of life in our region.

Employees Build Homes, Team Up for MAC Week

Some 600 Freddie Mac employees teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help build and renovate homes throughout the DC region as part of MAC (Making a Community) Week.

MAC Week 2009 Video Highlights

Freddie Mac and DC Habitat are making the dream of
affordable homeownership come true for one more local
family. U.S. Postal Service carrier Nakia Hargrove and
her four children are moving out of their public housing
apartment in to their new home, with support from
Habitat, Freddie Mac and Freddie Mac employee
         volunteers.

Our contributions also help provide counseling to homeowners in distress, financial literacy programs for young people and adults, shelter for homeless individuals and families, as well as a wealth of other services to stabilize our communities.

Our army of employee volunteers extends the value of our funding and brings benefits to the community.
