Washington Post Columnist Cautions Against Limits for the GSEs

In his May 25, 2005 piece titled “Greenspan Misfires on Fannie, Freddie [PDF 63K ]," Washington Post columnist and business writer Steven Pearlstein offers that there are plenty of ways to ensure safety and soundness of the GSEs "without setting hard- and fast-limits on what they can do, how much they earn or how much they can grow."
