Don't Impede GSEs' Core Homeownership Mission, Says Janice Bowdler, National Council of La Raza

In an op-ed titled "North Carolina Housing and the Latino Wealth Gap [PDF 9.6K] ," by Janice Bowdler published in the Herald-Sun, (Durham, N.C.) on October 21, 2005, the author says that it is crucial that Latinos are not left out of the next generation of wealth-building through homeownership. She urges Congress not to impede the GSEs' core mission of making homeownership more affordable. "It would be a discouraging setback to the hardworking Latino families in North Carolina dedicated to achieving the American Dream," she writes.
